Friends call me Jecca. I’m a Milwaukee-based writer with 15+ years of experience. I currently write for Dandelion Chocolate, a craft chocolate maker out of San Francisco. Beyond chocolate, my work includes copywriting, personal essays, food features, zines, and humor pieces. Children’s books are on the horizon.
I’ve been published on McSweeney’s, Slackjaw, Weekly Humorist, Motherly, and Scary Mommy, and featured on Cup of Jo. My work has appeared in print in SLICE Magazine and Six Words About Work, a book from SMITH Magazine.
I began my career in NY at the Ad Council (working with McGruff the Crime Dog) and later moved to SF, where I was Odopod‘s Director of Copy and Square’s first product copywriter. I’ve worked with SpaceX, Hawaiian Airlines, Nest, Fitbit, Google, Sony Pictures, Tesla, Audemars Piguet, and several start-ups. If you’re interested in working together, reach out on LinkedIn.
